Birthday Restaurant Round-up!

With my birthday happening while we were in Nicaragua, there were many fun celebrations before and after with friends and family. I LOVE BIRTHDAYS so I fully enjoyed each one. I am not a "big" group person so I love being able to celebrate either one on one or in small groups and that happened this year.
I am so grateful for 38 years of life and for my family and friendships.

Porch Light Latin Kitchen- Smyrna
I went with my sweet friend Jenni and everything was delicious! Not pictured- yucca fries- and I got the tacos (shocker) and they were yummy.  Such a fun time!!

Bartaco
One of my FAVORITES! Such a fun atmosphere and a great place to take the kids to as well.  They give they kids coloring books, which is always a nice bonus when the kids are entertained. : )

South City Kitchen
This was to celebrate Father's Day-

Ben got the jumbo lump crab cake hash- the picture doesn't do it justice. I just had the trout, which was good.

Kennesaw Food Trucks- Monday nights
One of my summer bucket list items was the Food Trucks in Kennesaw.  They have their Farmer's Market at the same time, which we didn't get time to go to but it was such a fun evening.  I meet with my friends Jen and Jenn : ) for prayer and accountability every other week and we have done this for years! We always celebrate each other's birthdays and I love those times.
I had shrimp tacos, Jenn had the lobster roll and Jen had the lobster quesadillas (didn't get a picture-maybe we inhaled our food ; ) )

Kiosco
A Colombian restaurant in Marietta on the square- ALWAYS good! So, I don't know what I was thinking, but I didn't take ANY pictures- argh- I had the yucca fries ( I am predictable) and the Colombian tamale- it was HUGE and I couldn't even begin to eat all of it. It was yum.  I did take a picture of the tres leches cake they brought out. Priorities.

The best part was walking down the road to get bubble teas! Some of my friends had tried it and some had not. I reeeeally wanted them to love it- some did, some did not but that is okay!
The people were the most important part!
So grateful.

Flying Biscuit Cafe-
Last but not least was breakfast out! All of our kids were at VBS- only the two youngest kids were with us, so instead of having a total of 9 kids between the three of us, we only had two. So, a good time to go out for breakfast!
Again, I forgot to take pictures of the food! I had the black bean cakes with a fried egg on each one with grits.  The best part is Monday-Friday, kids meals are free! (Per paying adult) It was such a luxury to eat breakfast and chat about life!

Ben gets jealous around my birthday because he knows I will get to go to some fun restaurants- it combines my favorite things, food + friends!
